Desperate Housewives

I just wondered all these days why they named it Desperate Housewives and one day decided to watch it just to know whether the title is apt and you don't believe me the next day i was so desperate to watch all the three seasons and ordered them on my netflix.I used to wait for my dvd to be shipped and used to watch immidiately after i bring back the mail. I don't know why i liked it so much but one thing i can say for sure is...there are certain tings in the world which we cannot change. At times a person cannot judge himself and feels so desperate to do certain things, to know some secrets, to just follow his heart paying no attention to the society around him coz it gives total satisfaction and the best reason to live.....

"Follow Your Instincts..." and after the moment you do it , trust me you feel like you are the king of the world.You will start to love people more than yourself.

And this strategy is very beautifully putforth in this serial. You will also find a part of yourself when you watch this.

What are the things that just force a person ( esp children) to decide against life and give up a valuable life?

Why don't they just understand that they are a part of a family where everyone loves them and that they are in such a wonderful place where people around them are full of love and affection.Why don't they just consider it for a moment ..


Why will they just take a decision and say that they just want to end up their life and do it?Are they not enough matured ?Whats going on with todays education system ...Does it provide any strength to fight against these psychological imbalances?

Parents give children whatever they can and they take utmost care of them ..They just give up all the pleasures in life and sacrifice evreything for the upbringing of their children.They just hope that thier child should be a good human being with moral values..They provide good education to learn things, be cultured and civilized...what should children learn?

Apart from education children should learn to be strong even in the adverse situations..whatever the reasons might be they have no right to end their life..If there is something stressful in their life, they should express it to their parents or friends...An open and friendly chat regarding any kind of issue helps in solving it easily.


At the same time parents should not force a grownup child to do anything against his/her wish..they should give that space to the child and should ensure him /her that they are with them at all times..A parent should try to know whats going on in their child's life.If there is a problem with the child do not just comment on it..sarcacism never helps.More over it hurts much..the child takes it as an abuse and it widens the gap between the parent and child..Do not compare with others .Focus on the child's area of expertise.Give him courage and inspiration to do things.The child can be a better individual if they do so.

Parents should understand there is a great diversity of mental abilities in children.One child may be active and can grasp things easily while the other may be sober but really good at logically solving the problems ..One cannot judge a child by giving a common example because every child's performance is different..

We all know its complicated for a child to understand and take life seriously at that age..but we can avoid major psychological issues of children by just giving them more love and support.
The stress that a child has due to rising compettition is a major cause for these emotional imbalance.Just keeping away all these reasons, lets do our best in giving a relaxed and joyful life to our children .

THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS......

I just read this amazing book by Arundhati Roy and found her expressions and references very intresting...she had a different style of putting forth the everyday life in villages back in 1969..it is all about the characters...

a bad tempered aunt, a troubled mother ,a rude drunkard husband , a humble neighbor , a politically motivated person , a witty mama , an egoistic grand father,a grandmother with inclination towards his son..two-egg twins and a little girl from London...

some of the things I liked from the book

• Screaming steel bird in the skyblue sky...
• A plantoon of ants carried a dead cockroach sedately through the door, demonstrating what should be done with corpses..
• Shadows gathered like bats in the steep hollows near her collarbone...
• a viable,die-able age....
• A wake , A live , A lert...
• Automobile islands in a river of people...
• Fisherman with secrets of sea in his eyes...
• Coconut trees were sea anemones waving their tentacles hoping to trap and eat an unsuspecting cloud...
• The sounds of a thousand voices spread over the frozen traffic like a noise umbrella..
• Squeezed the water out of it ( savagely ,as though it was an unwanted thought )
• The secret of the Great Stories is that they have no secrets. The Great Stories are the ones you have already heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don't deceive you with thrills and trick endings. They don't surprise you with unforeseen. They are as familiar as the house you live in. Or the smell of your lover's skin. You know how they end , yet you listen as though you don't. In the way that although you know that one day you will die, you live as though you won't. In the Great Stories you know who lives , who dies, who finds love,who doesn't. And yet you want to know again... That is their mystery and their magic...
